The Drifters frist release was
in 1959, a song called "There Goes My Baby". I'm sure
there is no need for you to wonder what Charley Thomas is up to
now-a-days because the Drifters songs are still alive and well.
So is the voice of Charley Thomas - not only here in the USA,
but in Europe and Asia as well.
Charley Thomas, along with
other Drifter member: Doc Green, Ben E. King and Elsbery Hobbs,
were inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
The ceremony took place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Here are a few Drifter's
Classics:
WHEN
MY LITTLE GIRL IS SMILING
SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME
UP ON THE ROOF
THIS MAGIC MOMENT
UNDER THE BOARDWALK
SWEETS FOR MY SWEET
SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
ON BROADWAY
THERE GOES MY BABY
DANCE WITH ME
I DON’T WANT TO GO ON
ROOMFUL OF TEARS
(AND MANY, MANY MORE)
