CROWN ELECTRIC COMPANY (named for the
company Elvis worked for in 1954) is one of the hottest
rockabilly/jump blues bands to hit the circuit. The band is
headlined by Peter Alden. Alden is a highly respected Elvis
tribute artist who has taken what he learned about the young
Elvis' career and applied it to his new band. As an Elvis
tribute artist, Pete has perfected the representations of Elvis,
now he has assembled a band that has taken the inspiration of
the young Memphis flash and made a sound of their own.
Terry Fulwider on lead guitar has mastered all the great playing
styles of Scotty Moore, Chuck Berry, James Burton and others to
create a master "original" sound and yet have all the
traditional riffs everybody wants to hear. Joe Webber provides a
strong "bottom fill" on bass guitar. Joe has mastered all the
great boogie-woogie and jump blues bass lines to keep a song
moving, and rockin'. Chris James on Keyboard can provide a
honky-tonk piano sound, as well as full electric keys and
strings; Chris is able to create a realistic horn sound to bring
the music of the fifties into a modern genre'.
Rounding out this core group on percussion and musical
direction, is David Fontana. David is an accomplished drummer
who holds everything together with perfect tempos and a backbeat
that keeps everyone dancing. David also provides another "Elvis
connection" as he is the son of Elvis' original drummer D.J.
Fontana.
Crown Electric Company plays all time favorites, rockabilly
covers and originals to create and maintain an atmosphere of
energy and dance. A guest at a recent show told Pete "If Elvis
had continued doing now what he was doing in the fifties, he'd
be you!" For audiences of all ages, Crown Electric Company is
the right entertainment choice for fairs, festivals,
conventions, parties and celebrations on a large scale.
SPECIALTY SHOWS
Mr. Downtown is an interactive cabaret show that inspires the
audience to sing along, participate and laugh. Reminiscent of
the "Rat Pack" days this string of melodies keeps the crowd
engaged with popular tunes from the 1940s to present day,
irreverent quips and spontaneous gags. This show is best
performed in more intimate settings for audiences of 32 - 156;
and uses tracked music a sound board and a plucky comic relief
sound person. Some of the Songs in this show are Minnie the
Moocher, Mack the Knife, American Band Stand, That's Amore' and
much more.
Elvis Tributes and GOSPEL by Peter Alden can inspire any size
crowd and can be performed with or without his band. Much of his
music in this performance is based on the big, belty
inspirational tunes like 'How Great Thou Art', Amazing Grace,
and 'You Gave Me a Mountain'. In all of Peter's Gospel shows he
adds an element of patriotism and faith; these performances are
particularly popular as fund raising events. As an tribute
artist he is award winning and internationally acclaimed.
Elvis and Roy - The Lost Concert, features Elvis tribute artist
Peter Alden and Roy Orbison impersonator, Brian McCullough. This
90 minute show brings together these two amazing voices and
features a fictitious concert set in the heyday of both artists.
The medleys and adaptations were specifically created to capture
the mutual respect and essence of a friendly performance with
these two beloved superstars; which never actually happened.
